Why a Modern Apprenticeship?

What's more, you'll be gaining skills and qualifications that are recognised by employers everywhere, so a Modern Apprenticeship is a great first step on to the career ladder.

In just a few years' time, it's estimated there will be over 9 million jobs for junior managers and technicians, so as a Modern Apprentice you could be exactly the type of skilled person industry will be looking for.

Who can become a  Modern Apprentice?

If you are between 16 and 23 YOU CAN!   We can help you build the career you want for a better, brighter future.

You need to be:

·          Between 16 and 23 years old

·          Either employed or seeking employment

·          Interested in Information technology and in working with people

·          Have 2 GCSE’s or a background in IT

Ambitious and committed to developing your skills through work based training.

How Do Modern Apprenticeships Work?

We help you get a job with an employer who's offering a Modern Apprenticeship. You start real work with them and they'll help you get the qualifications you need. So the deal is - you get the training, wages and qualifications you need now. Business and industry get the trained employees they need for the future.

So what are CCP offering me?

We can offer you the opportunity of either a foundation or advanced modern apprenticeship which includes a NVQ to level 2 or 3, then when you have finished that we can offer more advanced professional  training to match both yours and your employers needs.

This sounds good but where does it lead?

A  Modern Apprenticeship can lead to many rewarding careers in Information Technology and the related fields, including the ones below, but really it’s up to you.

The need for a highly skilled workforce has never been greater. By 2006 it is estimated that there will be over 9 million jobs at junior management, technician and craft level. Employers everywhere are recognising that Modern Apprenticeships can provide the ideal route to gaining the flexible, motivated and well-qualified employees their businesses need to compete, today and in the future.

The Modern Apprenticeship scheme is a programme of development, delivered through a combination of on the job practical experience, supplemented with relevant training. Funding  support is available through local Learning and Skills Councils.

Modern Apprenticeships offer employers direct access to highly motivated young people, coupled with a structured qualifications framework which has been designed to meet the needs of their industry.

The CCP Modern Apprenticeship

CCP Modern Apprenticeships can offer your personnel training to either Foundation or  Advanced Modern Apprenticeships (FMA/AMA), leading to the City & Guilds NVQ in Information Technology.  In addition, we can supplement this with professional training designed to meet the requirements of your specific business.  These are usually:

                      Microsoft Certified Professional – Windows 2000 Professional & Server

                      COMPTia A+ - (PC Hardware technician)  

                      Web Design – (Using HTML & Microsoft FrontPage)

                      Microsoft Office User Specialist  (MOUS) Master

However we can tailor packages in other disciplines including CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, Oracle DBA and others. This is to ensure maximum flexibility to meet the needs of your company.
