Course Overview:

This course covers the Oracle 7 Server architecture and enables students to determine how to both optimise SQL statement processing and track and recover transactions as well as particular business scenario. It also covers starting up and shutting down an instance and helps participants understand the features and functions of the National Language Support (NLS) Behaviour Specification. Creation of a database and how to construct the data dictionary. The course progresses through an overview of database structure and show them how to optimally utilize database space. A section on the SQL*Loader utility enables participants to load non-Oracle data into Oracle. The Module in this series gives an overview of data integrity and helps participants learn how to manage database users and resources. Participants will also learn how to manage database access and audit the database.
